On Saturday afternoon, as part of International Coastal Cleanup, we hosted a beach cleanup with @Leonatrawsonbigbay from Rawson. We haven’t done a cleanup in Big Bay for ages and it’s amazing to see the work that has been done to stop the sea from reclaiming the land Masks, social distancing and all those good things were followed. We are definitely going to be starting these cleanups up again on a monthly basis. Plus I think it’s time for another full moon walk 8 bags of litter were filled
A yearly event for the past few years. I really dig this swim…more of just a paddle around and laugh and chat to people in the water. Met some amazing people today. One group dashed off towards Big Bay for a swim “proper” Look out for our next one on 5 Sept – the Spring Splash…i think we will have 2 groups. 1 “Chilled” group and one “Miler” group. Thank you to everyone that brought goodies along (non-perishable’s and masks)…you guys rock! Thanks to the Beach Babes and the team from Fire and Ash Marketing for their amazing donations.
